Mice are small; their bodies are usually between three and four inches long, and their tails another two inches to three inches. They weigh about one ounce, and are gray to brown to almost black. Mice have a keen sense of smell, and are not picky about what kinds of foods they eat, as long as it fresh. The house mouse can jump as high as 18 inches straight up, climb any vertical surface as long as it isn’t smooth, and they are great swimmers.

Mice are naturally curious creatures, and readily investigate new additions or changes to their environment. This behavior is beneficial to pest control specialists as it makes them fairly easy to capture (you know what they say about curiosity,) but left alone mice can wander into all parts of the home or office. Generally, mice are less harmful to humans than rats, but mice also transmit diseases like salmonella and Rat Bite Fever. Mice, like all rodents, must continually gnaw on objects and surfaces. This is out of boredom but also to keep their constantly growing teeth sharp and short.

What can Exodus Pest Control do?

After a complete inspection, exclusion work is done at the points of entry to prevent rodents from coming into the building. A variety of traps are then used to control the population trapped on the inside of the building.
Exodus Pest Control minimizes the use of baits which can cause rodents to die in wall voids or other unwanted places
We provide a consultation with our clients on how to prevent future infestations.

Great to work with! – I hope no friends or neighbors of mine will ever need an exterminator, but if so I give an enthusiastic recommendation to Exodus Pest Control. Brian was very responsive, prompt, thorough, friendly – and most importantly effective. He checked out every nook and cranny to determine how mice were accessing my house, then blocked their entry. He seemed to take this prevention method as his own personal challenge – and I appreciated it-no evidence of mice in the 3+ months since his first visit. Concern about low hazardous chemical use, my dog’s safety, follow up visits, and a great attitude along with a competitive rate for the comprehensive service all get a thumbs up. —Sherri
